Dr. Anthony Higgs and his wife and ministry partner Symonetta Higgs have experienced PTA in Dallas through their close association with Dr. Tony Evans and his Urban Alternative Ministry.
· June 15, 2007. Dr. Higgs of Another Step Forward Ministry brings Tony Evans to Raleigh to describe how their NCAAI or Project Turn Around model helped them address gang violence and other human social problems in their schools and communities in Dallas. This event was held at the Ezra Center.
· August 20-24, 2007. The Urban Alternative brings their 30 hour NCAASI Project Turn Around training conference to Raleigh. About 30 local Christian leaders attended the week long training, pastors, non profit leaders, Christian business people and church members joined in training as well. This training was held at Crossroads Fellowship.
· September 7, 2007. About 30 of the local leaders who attended the training conference met at Crossroads Fellowship to debrief the conference experience and then nominated and released with a prayerful empowerment a steering committee from their group to go away and sort out how our coalition might be formed and next steps for all prospective coalition members to consider and begin.
· November 2, 2007. This steering committee has met for times at Crossroads Fellowship from 2 to 3 hours each meeting to prepare the documents presented back to the coalition today.
